Around the Farm 12/8/11 – Pruning Apple Trees

It’s October! More and more fall favorites are showing up in the stand! But dont worry, summer faves like Peppers and Eggplant are still very productive, and while Celery is here now and huge, is on its way out for the season. Greens are still going strong, and Broccoli and Cauliflower are making frequent appearances! Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes are in, and more varieties to come – and we’ve got plenty of root veggies like carrots, turnips, celeriac, rutabaga, winter radishes, and beets! We also still have plenty of Onions and Shallots, and more and more Winter Squash varieties are showing up every day!
