One of our cover crops of crimson clover is blooming. The bees will be happy! The white apple orchard in the background is covered in kaolin clay that John puts on early in the season to discourage insects.
Lots could happen, but so far we are optimistic!
prop house is filling up – look at those babies grow!
Just a light dusting of snow from last night. Stay warm everyone!
Last weekend of the season- the farmstand is open through October 31st.
50lb potato bags ready for pick up!
Frosty mornings, wind-tossed leaves, adding and shedding layers of clothes each day—all are signs that the season is coming to an end. Our plantings of tomatoes, peppers and eggplant are still standing, but are dead and black as if last week’s frost had literally burned them. Bleached corn stalks rattle in the breeze. Long [...]
Mid-August marks the midpoint of our season: halfway from the strawberry stained days of June when we try to make the newly opened, mostly empty farmstand look a little less barren; halfway to the dwindling days of October when we try to find enough space in the crowded farmstand for all the produce still [...]
The Crew hauled up quite a load of watermelons! Enjoy them now while they are at their peak!
Well, it’s August, and that means:
TOMATOES!
The rebuilding of the historic wall that supports Monument Street by the farm is finished! We appreciate the quick work of all parties involved with the reconstruction. Everyone involved has been considerate of our customers and accommodating to the needs of our farm. Specifically we would like to thank Concord’s Department of Public [...]

Updates: 5/21/13 We will be opening for the season Saturday May 25th! Limited hours for this Saturday and Sunday (11am-4pm) and then we will revert to our regular schedule of Tuesday-Sunday (11-6), closed on Mondays.
Self-service is currently open! We have our spinach, arugula, and lettuce on the porch! We also have asparagus from McGrath farm (not certified organic, we have to manage it organically for three years before we can call it that).
Plant sales have started: sage, oregano, thyme, cilantro, arugula, and dill plants are on the porch, and in the greenhouse we have lettuce, basil, okra, papalo, tomatoes (more varieties coming in the next few days), hanging cherry tomato plants, hot peppers, sweet peppers, eggplant, nasturtiums, and rosemary.
We also have hanging flower baskets, tarragon, chives, garlic chives, mint, and catnip plants that we just acquired, so similar to the asparagus we can't call them organic just yet. Bags of compost are also available. Check or exact change only please.
